Bringing the Graham Safety-Standard to BCIT

Dec 12 2017

On a tour of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) a few Graham employees noticed that the School of Construction and Environment students were not wearing gloves as part of their personal protective equipment (PPE).

Graham, an advocate of safety in the workplace, donated 200 gloves to BCIT so students could become used to wearing gloves as part of their PPE during their education, and continue to do so on project sites where it is an industry standard. Vancouver District Manager, Jason Glue, shares “it was a great occasion to focus on safety, something that is so important in our industry, and contribute to the safety of the students, as well as further cultivate our relationship with BCIT.”

“We really enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the students and staff, while promoting our brand and culture” says Hayley MacArthur, Marketing & Business Development Advisor, Vancouver.

Graham is proud to have sponsored two additional BCIT events this year; the 2017 BCIT Distinguished Awards Dinner and the 50th Anniversary Legacy Fund for Students in Financial Need. Graham is an avid supporter of local educational facilities, supporting career fairs and a successful, ongoing student/graduate recruitment program.
