The publicly-owned bypass will include 37 kilometres of new construction, 24 kilometres of rehabilitated roadway, and 12 interchanges, together with access roads and 38 civil engineering structures, for a total of 400 lane-km. Once complete, the bypass will be the largest transportation infrastructure project in Saskatchewan’s history.
"The scope and delivery method for this project has created the opportunity to offer very good value to Saskatchewan. Our integrated team combines the local knowledge, labour force and subcontractor relationships provided by Graham, Parsons and Carmack's with industry-leading expertise from Vinci,” says Tim Heavenor, Chief Financial Officer for Graham who is also President of Regina Bypass Partners, the project delivery team.
Site work has begun in preparation for construction to begin later this summer. Construction is anticipated for completion in fall 2019, with some segments opening in advance of the full bypass completion.
