Graham Group Ltd. Awarded Two New Alberta Healthcare Centres

Graham Group Ltd. was recently selected to manage the construction component of two independently awarded healthcare centre projects – the CDN$520 million Grande Prairie and the CDN$100 million High Prairie facilities.

The 50,000 m2 (538,195 sq. ft.) Grande Prairie regional healthcare centre will consist of three major components integrated into a single complex: a state-of-the-art cancer treatment centre with provision of diagnostic, radiation and chemotherapy treatment; a 200-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient units, ambulatory care, emergency, acute geriatrics, obstetrics, surgery, pediatrics, mental health and intensive care; and a healthcare training facility in partnership with the Grande Prairie Regional College. The project will start immediately with site work commencing in September 2011. The projected completion date is spring 2014.

The High Prairie regional healthcare centre will consist of two major components: a 7,600 m2(81,805 sq. ft.) acute care facility including 30 inpatient beds, ambulatory care, emergency, diagnostic, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health and renal programs, and a 1,400 m2 (15,069 sq. ft.) learning annex for the Northern Lakes College. The project will also start immediately with site work commencing in September 2011. The projected completion date is early 2013.
