Since 2014, Graham has been developing and refining its internal training and development programs to identify, mentor and train its operational employees for more senior positions. Dubbed Builders’ Framework, the program now includes over 25 courses in construction and estimating.
Builders’ Framework is gaining recognition in the construction industry. In 2016, the program became Gold Seal accredited by both the Canadian Construction Association and Project Management Institute, allowing employees to apply their Builders’ Framework courses towards achieving their Gold Seal and PMP designations.
More recently, Builders' Framework received the Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA) 2018 Workforce Development Leadership Award. Up against seven other nominees in the Large Organization category, the award recognizes Graham’s leadership towards workforce development excellence.
“Graham remains committed to providing its employees with ongoing training and development, and therefore continues to develop courses as part of the Builders’ Framework program,” says Jeff Schippmann, CPO and SVP, HR. “The ongoing development of Graham’s internal talent enables us to respond to more complex client needs and successfully deliver larger projects.”
