Graham to Build Canada’s Only Wet Infant Formula Facility
Graham was recently awarded the CDN$200 million contract to build the new Canadian Royal Milk (CRM) facility.
To be constructed in Kingston, Ontario, the CRM will be a 29,728 m2 (320,000 sq. ft.) state-of-the-art infant formula manufacturing facility. It will be Canada’s first and only wet infant formula facility and North America’s first and only goat milk infant formula facility. The building’s design features two separate production lines, one for cow dairy, the other for goat dairy.
The project marks China-based Feihe International’s first foray into the Canadian market. To be built on 40 acres of development land, the project will introduce 225 new full-time jobs in Kingston when the plant begins operations, representing the largest Chinese investment in Canadian history.
Graham begins work on the main contract this month, with completion scheduled for late 2019.
