New Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford Now 60 Per Cent Complete
Graham, as part of the Access Prairies Partnership (APP), is pleased to celebrate 60 per cent completion of the Province’s new integrated mental health facility, the Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford (SHNB).
Graham is leading construction on the provincial psychiatric hospital, which will replace the existing 100-year old facility. The new SHNB will include 188 beds and 96 secure beds for male and female offenders living with mental health issues.
“Graham is proud to partner with the Province and the Prairie North Regional Health Authority to build the vision of an integrated mental health complex for the residents of Saskatchewan,” says Grant Beck, President & CEO, Graham. “Our focus is to deliver value for our clients that extends beyond the materials and timelines -- we’ll carry this forward for many years to come as part of the team tasked with maintaining the facility.”
Together with many local and First Nations partners and subcontractors, Graham has dedicated more than 535,000 hours of work to keep the new facility on-time and on-budget.
The new Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford will be key to improving mental health services for residents of the Battlefords. This innovative new approach to delivering mental health care and supports will ensure people get the help they need, when they need it, and in the best possible environment.
The hospital will be complete in June 2018.
