Project Announcement - Saskatoon WWTP Digester & Heating Upgrades

We're thrilled to announce that we've been awarded the City of Saskatoon's CDN$31.2 million wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) digester and heating upgrades project!

Through studies conducted by the City of Saskatoon, it was determined that the capacity of the current digesters was not sufficient to meet Canadian Sewage Works Design Standards if any of the three existing tanks were taken out of service. The goal of this WWTP expansion project is to provide an immediate increase in digester capacity and provide operational flexibility.

The WWTP Digester and Heating Upgrades project involves the construction of a new concrete framed heating building, a new gas scrubbing building and a new 32 m diameter concrete digester tank complete with all associated mechanical, electrical and process equipment components.

As general contractor, Graham will self-perform all the concrete work which will be vital to maintain schedule control but also sustains a strong concrete workforce and competitive advantage for future work of this type. Construction begins immediately with a scheduled completion of September 30, 2021.
