This $48.8 million general contract project involved the construction of a new 7.5 million gallon-per-day (27 MGD peak) wastewater treatment facility in Willmar, Minnesota. The scope of this project involved the construction of facilities to house screw pumps, clarifier equipment, sledge thickening equipment, a UV disinfection system, scum pumps and oxidation ditch aeration equipment. The project also includes modifications to the existing biosolids storage building and tank to incorporate these into the new facility.  The scope of work also included: site work; yard piping; process piping and equipment; plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical; and instrumentation and controls. Also included in the project scope was modifications to and integration to the existing biosolids storage facilities. This project has more than 23,000 cubic yards of concrete that was placed. This project was completed on schedule and under budget.
