This project consisted of a renovation to a 768 square meter Synagogue with a 54.9 square meter addition to provide three levels of floor space to operate an addiction treatment program for the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region. The renovation included the construction of a structural concrete floor slab on the lower level and a second floor structure to provide the required floor space. The addition provided the facility with an elevator to serve all levels and a new client entrance. The building envelope was rejuvenated by insulating the exterior wall systems and providing new doors, windows, roofing, mechanical and electrical systems to meet the requirements of a health facility. The interior spaces were fitted-out to meet the program needs and included a large supervised sleeping area for drop-in clients, 25 bedrooms for longer-term clients, a kitchen, dinning room, lounge and administration areas required to serve all programs. The site parking and landscaping was upgraded to meet the facility needs.
