Tabor Home is a new 100-bed personal care home and medical facility developed to serve the mandate and program requirements of Southern Health - Santé Sud, for the City of Morden and surrounding areas. The project consists of a 7,153 m² single-storey building, including commercial laundry and kitchen facilities, common areas, and full bariatric service amenities. The facility includes four 20-bed LTC houses and one 20-bed supportive housing unit designed for older adults with complex long-term care health needs. The design incorporated many sustainable features through an integrated design process (IDP) with stakeholders, allowing them to have their ideas and priorities incorporated into the plans at an early stage. The project is to obtain LEED Silver certification.
