The previous WSDOT Olympic Region’s Headquarters was a 1930s construction that had been outgrown by the department and its needs, resulting in multiple disjointed buildings from the main hub. The new $48.7 million design-build project involves a three-building layout with a variety of services including a new two-story administration office building and approximately 65,000 sf of shop, maintenance, and storage space all located on a 22-acre site.

The new WSDOT Olympic Region Headquarters resolves issues around energy, workflow, and staff inefficiency by eliminating the need for workers to be spread throughout various locations and introducing a modern, energy efficient design. The new headquarters has been designed to meet LEED® Silver Certification requirements.
