Graham is focused on quality project delivery, and is dedicated to ensuring the highest possible levels of client satisfaction are achieved at all times. For the City of Burlington’s Brant Street Pedestrian Pier project, safety, cost and proper job sequencing were critical requirements. “Graham pulled this project out of the ashes,” says Craig Stevens, Senior Project Manager, Capital Works, City of Burlington. The project, initially awarded to another contractor, had previously gone over budget in a multi-year planning, design and construction process.
Graham came on board in late 2011 and was able to hold construction costs to approximately $7 million by adopting and adapting the existing construction plan, using a temporary trestle, rather than starting from scratch. The pier is part of an extensive redevelopment of Burlington’s downtown. “Since the pier opened in 2013, it has become the most photographed landmark in Burlington,” says Stevens proudly.
