In our 2024 Sustainability Report, we’re proud to share how Graham continues to embed responsible construction, environmental stewardship, and innovative solutions into everything we do. Sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a core value that guides our decisions and drives our commitment to delivering long-term value for our clients, partners, employees, and the communities in which we operate. —Andy Trewick President &CEO
Since our founding in 1926, Graham has grown into one of North America’s top construction companies. With over 3,000 employees, 29 permanent office locations, and annual revenue of approximately $5 billion, we’ve built a resilient and diversified business that operates across Canada and the U.S. As we approach our 100th year, our legacy is rooted in innovation, quality, and a deep connection to the communities we serve—and we remain proudly 100% employee-owned.
Our approach to sustainability is grounded in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. This past year, we achieved a 3% reduction in carbon emissions, improved fleet efficiency, and partnered with suppliers to collect embodied carbon data. These are meaningful steps forward as we work to minimize our environmental impact across every phase of our operations.
Social responsibility is at the heart of our culture. We’ve continued to invest in the safety, health, and well-being of our people and communities. Through programs like the Construction Safety Research Alliance and our SafetyAI pilot, we’re strengthening our Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention strategies and are proud to have completed over 30 million LTI-free hours from 2023 to 2025. Mental health also remains a top priority—with more than 1,100 team members participating in our mental health training program.
Our efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace gained momentum. This year, more than 1,800 employees completed DEI-related training, and we supported meaningful conversations through initiatives like Women in Construction Week and Construction Inclusion Week. By year-end, our workforce included strong representation from Indigenous and visible minority communities.
Giving back is part of who we are. Through our Graham Cares program, our team logged over 3,100 volunteer hours and supported 56 causes. In 2024, Graham contributed $2.3 million in community investments and donations. These actions reflect our shared belief in building stronger communities together.
Strong governance and ethical leadership remain essential to our success. Our Audit Committee, Code of Business Conduct, Whistleblower Policy, and cybersecurity practices ensure transparency, accountability, and stakeholder protection. We’re also advancing sustainable supply chain practices—spending $757 million with medium enterprises and $105 million with minority-owned businesses—while ensuring compliance with Bill S-211 to eliminate forced and child labor.
We’re especially proud of the projects we delivered this year that reflect our sustainability values—from the Nisutlin Bay Bridge Replacement in Teslin, YT, to the LEED Gold-certified mass timber student housing at Mines Park in Golden, CO. These projects demonstrate how we’re pushing boundaries in sustainable construction delivery.
With a strong financial foundation, an engaged team, and a clear ESG strategy, we’re ready to lead the construction industry toward a more sustainable and inclusive future.
