Encore – University District, Calgary

Encore is a 303-unit, 440-bed rental apartment development located in Calgary’s University District. The project consists of two concrete residential buildings—an eight-storey mid-rise and a sixteen-storey tower—connected by a shared podium and supported by two and a half levels of secure underground parking.
Constructed by Graham, Encore was built to Green Gold standards and designed to exceed the National Energy Code of Canada by more than 25 percent, resulting in significant reductions in energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
Encore marks Graham’s fifth project in the University District, bringing the company’s local portfolio to five developments—three residential and two commercial—comprising nearly 1,000 rental units and more than 221,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
Developed in partnership between Gracorp and Harrison Street, the project contributes to a combined total of approximately 1,000 residential units and 74,000 square feet of commercial and retail space developed or under construction by Gracorp in the University District.
