Quincy Valley Medical Center Opens in Washington State

April 10, 2025

Graham is pleased to announce the substantial completion of the Quincy Valley Medical Center (QVMC) construction project, which began in Q3 2023. The milestone was achieved on schedule in April 2025.

About the Project

This project involved the construction of a new 45,000 sq. ft. hospital designed to meet the healthcare needs of Quincy, a growing rural community in central Washington State. The new facility will replace the aging hospital and is equipped to deliver modern, comprehensive care.

The Quincy Valley Medical Center will feature eight inpatient rooms, providing essential overnight and short-term care capabilities. Emergency services are integrated to ensure timely, life-saving treatment for the region’s residents. Diagnostic imaging services will support accurate, on-site medical evaluations. Physical therapy facilities will assist inpatient rehabilitation and recovery. A rural health clinic will serve as a local access point for routine and preventative care, while a helipad will allow for rapid patient transport during emergencies.

Once the new facility becomes fully operational, the existing hospital will be decommissioned and demolished.

Preparing for Opening

Opening a new hospital and training staff presents significant operational challenges. By delivering the project on time and on budget—with a high degree of predictability and professionalism—Graham has enabled QVMC’s leadership to focus on final preparations.

Furniture installation and staff training are currently underway. The facility is set to welcome its first patient on May 21, 2025. On that day, incoming patients will be directed to the new facility, and any remaining patients in the old hospital will be transferred. By noon, the original hospital will officially cease operations after 67 years of service.

Next Steps

In early June, the existing hospital will be turned over to Graham for demolition. The site will be redeveloped into a wellness garden and additional parking to support the new facility.

Graham is proud to contribute to this important investment in rural healthcare and commends the entire project team for their dedication and expertise.
