Design and Construction Approach
The project was delivered through a highly collaborative value engineering process. Graham partnered with the client, design team, and key subtrades to review all aspects of the design, identify cost efficiencies, and implement a complete redesign of the mechanical and electrical systems. This ensured the project met the owner’s budget without compromising quality.
Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools were integral to project planning. Drone flights captured aerial imagery to provide a comprehensive understanding of the site, while clash detection technology supported the development of detailed models that improved coordination and scheduling.
Community Impact
Planned by the City of Steinbach for many years, the Southeast Event Centre brings to life a long-anticipated vision for a central gathering place. The facility is expected to strengthen community engagement, provide opportunities for local and regional events, and attract visitors to the city.
Graham is proud to have played a role in delivering this landmark project for Steinbach and its residents.
