Starlight Pump Station
Location: Calgary, AB
The Starlight Pump Station project involved constructing a new facility to provide immediate fire suppression capacity and future domestic water supply for communities in southwest Calgary. This $28 million project was delivered in three phases between 2020 and 2025: site preparation and foundations; construction of an interim pump station (2020–2022); and structural expansion with permanent equipment installation (2023–2025).
Packages One and Two included site preparation, foundation work, and civil construction, as well as the delivery of the interim pump station. Graham collaborated with Dream Asset Management and the City of Calgary to provide constructability reviews, material selection, cost consulting, and scheduling services. Package Three focused on expanding the pump station and integrating permanent structures and equipment.
Throughout the project, Graham worked closely with the City of Calgary to ensure continuous facility operation and safety. As the only water service in the area, the pump station was a critical piece of infrastructure—requiring uninterrupted performance from both the interim and final stations during construction.
