K+S Potash Canada Awards First Major Scopes to Progress Growth Plan

April 14, 2026

Bethune, Saskatchewan – K+S Potash Canada (K+S) has chosen Worley and Graham Construction as preferred construction partners for some of the first major scopes in the company’s Ramp-Up Program.

“Choosing these partners allows us to proceed with the development of multi-use agreements and work packages for the upcoming construction scope,” says Anthony Clark, the Director of the Ramp-Up Program at K+S Potash Canada. “Worley and Graham bring strong technical capability and construction experience that will support our long-term growth plans and continued investment in Saskatchewan.”

Ramp-Up is part of K+S’s long-term vision to nearly double the current potash production at Bethune mine to 4 million tonnes per year. The program focuses on a series of projects to deliver steady production growth and supporting site infrastructure over the course of several years.

Worley will be working on structural steel supply and install, and construction of the mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (MPEI) scopes for a Compaction facility expansion, the largest individual project in the Ramp-Up Program scope.

Graham was awarded the civil earthworks and concrete scope and the MPEI scopes for a Cooling Pond Pumphouse project that will support increased secondary mining capacity essential to growth. Graham is also working on Compaction concrete and piling scopes, which began earlier this month.

Both companies were selected through a competitive early contractor involvement process, which included evaluating not only safety performance and technical knowhow, but also each organization’s commitments to Indigenous inclusion.

“Indigenous inclusion is important to K+S, and an area where we are continuously seeking to improve,” says Clark. “As the Ramp-Up Program advances, we will work with local Indigenous communities to co-develop strategies that create meaningful employment opportunities and support Indigenous-owned and partnered businesses
within our supply chain. These two construction partners share our commitment to Indigenous inclusion, and we look forward to building something great together.”

The combined scopes are valued at more than $100M CAD and both contractors are expected to continue activity on site into 2028.
