Graham Awarded Memorial Drive Extension Project

Graham is proud to announce that it has been selected as General Contractor for the Memorial Drive Extension project in Calgary, Alberta.

The project will extend Memorial Drive eastward to improve mobility for new and growing communities in southeast Calgary while strengthening travel connections across the city.

Key project components include:

  • Two 30-metre single-span box girder bridges
  • A 97-metre, two-span post-tensioned bridge with 2-metre NU girders
  • Earthworks
  • MSE walls
  • Noise walls
  • Roadworks
  • Deep utility installations
  • Utility relocations
  • Storm pond construction
  • Landscaping

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, with completion scheduled for fall 2028.

This project builds on Graham’s longstanding relationship with the City of Calgary and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that supports the city’s growth. Over the years, Graham has partnered with the City on a range of complex infrastructure projects, bringing experience in bridge construction, roadway development, and urban improvements.

The Memorial Drive overpass over Stoney Trail will play an important role in strengthening Calgary’s transportation network by improving accessibility for surrounding communities and supporting future growth.
