Breaking Ground on the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant Renewal Project

July 19, 2022

Graham, its joint-venture partner Aecon and the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation, recently celebrated the official project launch of the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant Renewal Project. The groundbreaking ceremony included five provincial dignitaries who helped kick-off the $273M renewal project.

More than 40 people – area MLAs, the mayors of Regina and Moose Jaw, plant board members, employees, and others – were also in attendance.

Situated near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant provides potable water to over 260,000 residents located in the cities of Regina, Moose Jaw and surrounding areas. The rejuvenated plant will be able to meet the forecasted demands of the regional requirements for potable water for decades to come.
